Rio Grande do Sul teachers face September 8 deadline for documentation

A total of 5,808 teachers appointed through the state teaching public contest in Rio Grande do Sul must submit required documentation and medical exams by Tuesday, September 8. This deadline is non-extendable.

The appointment process, governed by Notice No. 01/2025, requires candidates to submit possession documents via the Electronic Information System (SEI) and medical/psychological exam results through the Servidor Portal. Mandatory exams include a hemogram, creatinine, fasting glucose, and tonal audiometry. Candidates aged 45 and older must also provide electrocardiogram and specialized cardiology, orthopedic, and ophthalmological reports.

The State Secretariat of Education (Seduc) expects the new teachers to begin working in schools by October, serving in the final years of Elementary School and High School. Candidates are advised to monitor their email and spam folders for specific details regarding physical and psychological evaluation schedules provided by the State Medical Expertise Department (Dmest).
