Rio Grande do Sul viticulture sector expands sustainability and industry presence

The viticulture sector in Rio Grande do Sul is undergoing developments in sustainability and industry expansion. The Institute for Management, Planning, and Development of Viticulture of the State of Rio Grande do Sul (Consevitis-RS) has opened registrations for its Sustainable Good Practices Program in Viticulture. Viticulturists producing grapes for industrial processing have until October 6 to apply for this free program, which offers consultancy and certification to promote food safety, sustainable agricultural practices, and improved property management.

In the Serra Gaúcha region, Vinícola Galiotto is marking its 60th anniversary with the launch of a limited edition commemorative wine. Based in Flores da Cunha, the winery produces approximately 10 million liters annually and maintains a portfolio of 62 products, including fine wines, sparkling wines, and juices, which are distributed both nationally and internationally.
