Rio Piracicaba Chamber Launches Public Service Exam After 13 Years
The Municipal Chamber of Rio Piracicaba (MG) published edital 01/2026 for a public service exam, the first such competition in the city in 13 years. Five permanent positions are offered: three Legislative Assistants, one Internal Controller and one General Services Officer. Initial salaries range from R$ 2,478.09 to R$ 4,000.00, with a 35‑hour work week.
Applications are accepted from 14 September to 13 October 2026, either in person at the Chamber or online via the IDEAP website. The objective written test is scheduled for 15 November 2026. The recruitment is part of a broader administrative restructuring led by councilor Aleksandro José da Silva, which includes creating a Citizen Center and an Entrepreneurship Hall to bring more services closer to residents and modernise the legislative workflow.
The initiative is presented as a step toward professionalising the municipal workforce, improving public service quality and supporting local development by reducing the need for citizens to travel to neighboring municipalities for administrative assistance.
