Rio Tinto reports revenue growth and rising share prices

Rio Tinto, the world’s second-largest mining and metals company, has seen its share price rise by 13.47% since the start of the year. The company maintains a diverse portfolio including aluminium, copper, diamonds, energy, minerals, and iron ore, with iron ore serving as its largest export.

Financial reports indicate a 15% increase in revenue during the first six months of 2026, reaching $31 billion, while EBITDA rose by 28% to $4.8 billion. Despite these recent gains, historical data shows a decline in annual profit from $21,115 million three years ago to $11,552 million in the last reported financial year. The company’s current net debt is reported at $4,941 million.
