Rio Uchida and Nakayama Kinni-kun promote Okayama Prefecture

Actress and model Rio Uchida participated in a promotional event for the ‘Hare no Kuni OKAYAMA Charm Discovery Project’ held in Tokyo. During the event, Uchida shared her experiences from a recent travel vlog filmed in Okayama with actor Tomo Inaba. She highlighted activities such as eating peach parfaits and making denim, noting the beautiful scenery and the impressive scale of the Seto Ohashi Bridge.

As October 26 is ‘Denim Day,’ the event emphasized Okayama’s reputation as a premier denim producer. Uchida praised the comfort and design of Okayama denim, while entertainer Nakayama Kinni-kun, appearing under the moniker ‘Okayama Kinni-kun,’ demonstrated the mobility of the fabric. Kinni-kun also provided comedic relief when he failed to recognize a prompt for his signature catchphrase during the presentation.

Uchida expressed a desire to revisit Kibitsu Shrine in Okayama City, which is associated with the Momotaro legend, to experience its unique local traditions with her family.
