Petrolina man shot dead in front of daughter while walking to school

Esiel Cavalcanti de Sá, known as “Nininho Araguá”, was shot and killed in the Loteamento Recife neighborhood of Petrolina, Pernambuco, while walking his daughter to school.

Security footage captured the moment a vehicle, identified in one report as an HB20, pulled onto the curb and an occupant opened fire on the victim. The child was present during the attack but was not hit; she was subsequently assisted by a bystander.

The victim died at the scene. Local authorities, including the Military Police and Civil Police, have isolated the area and launched an investigation to identify the perpetrators and determine the motive. No arrests have been made at this time.
