Riohacha police operation kills ACSN leader and partner

The National Institute of Legal Medicine and Forensic Sciences has confirmed the identities of four individuals killed during a police operation in the Los Olivos neighborhood of Riohacha. Among the deceased is Naín Andrés Pérez Toncel, known as ‘Bendito Menor’, identified by authorities as a primary leader of the Autodefensas Conquistadoras de la Sierra Nevada (ACSN).

Also identified are his partner, Rosa Angélica Tarazona Tarazona, known as ‘La Bebecita’, who was under investigation for providing financial and logistical support to the armed group, and two security escorts identified as ‘El Tío’ and ‘Casiloco’. The forensic identification process was conducted in Barranquilla, and the remains have been released to their families pending legal authorizations for funeral arrangements.

Following the operation, social media footage surfaced showing a marriage proposal made by Pérez Toncel to Tarazona on a Caribbean beach approximately 15 days before the incident. The video, which featured roses and torches, had previously been part of the couple's personal social media presence.
