RioLuz modernizes lighting at Parque do Cantagalo

RioLuz has completed a modernization of the lighting system at Parque do Cantagalo, located along the shores of Lagoa Rodrigo de Freitas in Rio de Janeiro. The project aims to increase safety for visitors, improve conditions for sports, and enhance the nighttime experience for the public.

The infrastructure upgrade included the installation of 251 LED lamps, 26 ornamental lamps, 106 projectors, 38 new fiber posts, approximately one kilometer of conduits, and 43 new junction boxes equipped with anti-theft covers. These improvements are intended to reduce vulnerability to vandalism and theft.

Spanning approximately 14,000 square meters, Parque do Cantagalo is a major leisure space in the South Zone, featuring courts for volleyball, basketball, tennis, and baseball, as well as football fields.
