Rionegro hosts national under-25 tejo championships

Rionegro is hosting the XVIII Female Under-25 National Tejo Championship and the XXX Male Under-25 National Tejo Championship from September 10 to 14. The event brings together 136 young athletes, including 88 men and 48 women, representing various Colombian departments such as Antioquia, Bogotá, Boyacá, and Valle.

The tournament is considered significant for the generational transition of tejo, Colombia's national sport. The competition is supported by the Instituto Municipal de Educación Física, Deporte y Recreación (IMER) to foster national-level athletic development.
