Rionegro launches socioemotional gymnasium for 17,000 students

Rionegro has inaugurated the “Educando Cerebro y Corazón” Socioemotional Gymnasium, a pioneering initiative in Colombia designed to strengthen the life skills of approximately 17,000 students across 17 official educational institutions.

The program utilizes five specialized stations focusing on emotional awareness, emotional regulation, emotional autonomy, social competencies, and general wellbeing. Through pedagogical experiences, playful activities, and reflection exercises, the initiative aims to help children and youth manage emotions, develop empathy, build resilience, and improve assertive communication to better navigate daily life challenges.
