Rionegro Mayor submits historic 1 trillion peso budget for 2027

Mayor Jorge Rivas has submitted the 2027 budget proposal for Rionegro to the Municipal Council. The proposed budget exceeds 1 trillion pesos for the first time in the municipality's history, totaling 1,044,000,000,000 pesos.

The administration intends to allocate these resources toward several priority sectors, including health, education, sports, infrastructure, basic sanitation, environmental sustainability, and mobility. The goal of the proposal is to address the primary needs of the municipality through financial equity and collective development.

The Municipal Council, led by President Ramón Cendoya, will review and debate the proposal during the ordinary sessions in November to determine its approval.
