Rionegro to host REGENERA summit on regenerative development

The REGENERA Glocal Regeneration Summit will take place on October 22 at Club La Macarena in Rionegro, Colombia. The event aims to discuss how to transform the Oriente Antioqueño subregion into a regenerative territory through a development model that restores ecosystems rather than just reducing environmental impact.

The summit is a collaborative initiative led by the Corporación Empresarial del Oriente Antioqueño (CEO), Cornare, the Universidad Católica de Oriente (UCO), and Masbosques. It will bring together community leaders, business owners, academics, public sector representatives, and international experts from Argentina and Brazil.

The agenda is structured around three thematic axes: science and life-sustaining systems, regeneration as a new development paradigm, and the individual as an actor in regeneration. Participants will explore the transformation of business models and the conservation of natural resources to foster an integrated approach between water, ecosystems, communities, and producers.
