Rioprevidência Secures Court-Ordered Rescue of R$481.5 Million Investment

Brazil’s State Prosecutor’s Office (PGE‑RJ) obtained a judicial ruling guaranteeing the full rescue of R$481.5 million that the Rioprevidência pension fund had invested in the Revolution Fund linked to the Master Group. Judge Aline Massoni of the 10th Public Treasury Court in Rio ordered the complete withdrawal of the assets, setting a liquidation deadline of 17 August 2026.

The decision also mandated an independent audit of the fund’s patrimonial situation, required Master Corretora to submit an external audit report within 15 days, and imposed a precautionary seizure of assets belonging to Acura Gestora de Recursos and its directors, limited to the invested amount. The court further prohibited any actions that could impede or delay the rescue of the pension fund’s contributions, which were made from May 2025 amid concerns about low transparency and questionable liquidity of the fund’s holdings.
