Riot Games announces VALORANT VCT 2027 Open Qualifiers

Riot Games has announced that Open Qualifiers for the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT) 2027 season will begin in November. The new structure aims to provide more opportunities for non-partner teams to compete within the VCT ecosystem.

Starting in 2027, the Kickoff tournaments in the Americas, EMEA, and Pacific regions will each consist of 12 teams: eight partner teams and four teams emerging from the Open Qualifiers. Non-partner teams that successfully qualify for major VCT stages will receive fixed qualification payments to provide financial support, alongside eligibility for prize pool earnings.

To maintain competitive progress throughout the season, open and creator-led teams must retain at least three of their five players. Regional requirements typically mandate that at least three players on a roster must be from that specific region.
