Riópar to repair historic Gollizo hydroelectric plant

The municipality of Riópar has announced urgent intervention works to prevent the collapse of the historic Gollizo hydroelectric plant. The facility suffered significant structural deterioration following heavy rainfall in February, which exacerbated pre-existing issues caused by age and lack of maintenance.

The restoration project aims to secure standing structures, remove hazardous debris, repair damaged walls, and install a new treated wood roof structure with ceramic tiles. The contract for these works has been awarded to Decocallejas Soluciones Constructivas S. L. for a total cost of 69,866 euros, including taxes.
