Ripoll launches ‘Bon Dia’ campaign to foster community cohesion
Teixim Ripoll has launched the ‘Bon Dia’ (Good Morning) campaign, an initiative designed to improve community coexistence and strengthen social ties among residents in Ripoll. The project encourages citizens to greet one another in public spaces, shops, and streets to foster mutual recognition and connection.
The campaign involves a wide range of local institutions, including all municipal schools, adult education centers, nurseries, primary care centers, social services, and pedagogical resource centers. By promoting daily greetings, the organizers aim to create a sense of belonging and reduce feelings of isolation, regardless of an individual's age, gender, origin, or physical and intellectual abilities.
Additionally, the initiative seeks to promote the use of Catalan as a tool for social cohesion while respecting the native languages of residents. The project also emphasizes the importance of local commerce, aiming to preserve the personal relationships and trust between shopkeepers and customers in an era of increasing online shopping.
