Ripple announces major blockchain summits in Seoul and New York

Ripple has announced major upcoming events focused on the integration of blockchain technology within traditional finance. At the XRP Seoul 2026 conference scheduled for October 3 at the Grand Hyatt Seoul, representatives from several major South Korean financial institutions, including Woori Bank, Kakao Bank, Kyobo Securities, and Kbank, will join Ripple executives.

The Seoul event will focus on institutional adoption of the XRP Ledger (XRPL), asset tokenization, institutional DeFi, and cross-border payments using the RLUSD stablecoin. South Korea has previously explored using Ripple infrastructure for tokenized government bond settlements.

In the United States, Ripple will host its Swell 2026 conference from October 27-29 at The Shed in New York City. The event will merge Swell with the Apex and UBRI Connect gatherings. The speaker lineup includes Matt Damon and Gary White of Water.org, who will discuss using financial infrastructure to improve money movement efficiency. Other participants include Tom Farley, CEO of Bullish, and Johann Kerbrat of Robinhood.
