Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse advocates for crypto diversification

Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse has advocated for cryptocurrency diversification, stating that he does not subscribe to XRP maximalism. During a discussion at Faena Rose, Garlinghouse disclosed that he personally owns Solana (SOL) and does not view the two assets as direct competitors.

Garlinghouse advised investors to focus on the top five cryptocurrencies for long-term holding rather than concentrating solely on XRP. He noted that while XRP can serve as an effective bridge asset for specific cross-border transactions, stablecoins may offer more effective solutions for other payment use cases.

This perspective aligns with Ripple’s multichain strategy, which includes the expansion of XRP liquidity into the Solana ecosystem through wrapped XRP. Garlinghouse emphasized that different assets can perform well for different reasons, noting that Solana has attracted significant liquidity.
