Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse sets $1B revenue goal and challenges JPMorgan on US CLARITY Act

Ripple chief executive Brad Garlinghouse said the company aims to end 2026 with a $1 billion revenue run rate, a figure that does not include the XRP tokens held on its balance sheet. He highlighted recent expansions such as the $1.25 billion acquisition of prime broker Hidden Road, the rollout of the Ripple USD (RLUSD) stablecoin, and AI‑driven payment tools that let software agents transact on the XRP Ledger.

Garlinghouse also took to live television to confront JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon, accusing him of either misunderstanding or deliberately misrepresenting the US CLARITY Act. The bill, which passed the Senate Banking Committee 15‑9, proposes to assign crypto tokens like XRP to either the SEC or the CFTC, potentially granting them commodity status. Garlinghouse argued that stablecoins represent a "ChatGPT moment" for finance and warned that legacy payment systems still process about $13 trillion annually off‑chain.
