Ripple CEO Highlights XRP’s 4 Billion Transactions, 3‑5 Sec Settlements and Low Fees
Ripple chief executive Brad Garlinghouse outlined the core advantages of the XRP Ledger, emphasizing that the network has processed over 4 billion transactions and settles payments in three to five seconds. He noted that transaction costs are typically less than one cent, making the system suitable for both large institutional transfers and everyday payments.
Garlinghouse also pointed to the “XRP Army,” a highly engaged community that has supported the token through regulatory challenges and market fluctuations. He said the ledger was purpose‑built to address inefficiencies in global payments, drawing on early contributors’ experience with Bitcoin to create a faster, cheaper alternative to traditional cross‑border banking.
The remarks were made during a special “Crypto in One Minute” segment recorded at the XRP Las Vegas 2026 event, where Garlinghouse summarized XRP’s strengths as “4 billion transactions, 3‑5 second settlements, less than a penny each, a community that never stopped believing.”
