Ripple expands institutional crypto services with EDX integration and lands No. 16 on CNBC Disruptor 50
Ripple announced that its global multi‑asset prime brokerage platform, Ripple Prime, has been integrated with EDX Markets and EDXM International. The partnership gives institutional clients access to spot trading and perpetual futures liquidity through a single, capital‑efficient structure, and sets the groundwork for the future use of Ripple USD (RLUSD) as a settlement and collateral asset. Ripple Prime’s international CEO Michael Higgins said the integration “raises the bar for institutional digital asset trading,” while EDX Markets CEO Tony Acuña‑Rohter highlighted the demand for infrastructure that blends traditional finance rigor with digital‑asset efficiency.
In parallel, Ripple was placed at No. 16 on CNBC’s 2026 Disruptor 50 list, reflecting the firm’s expanding role in institutional finance. The ranking follows recent product expansions in custody, payments, compliance, staking and settlement, including new partnerships with Securosys, Figment and Chainalysis. Ripple’s executive Cassie Craddock noted that financial institutions seek “a true end‑to‑end infrastructure partner.” The combined developments underscore Ripple’s growing influence in bridging traditional and digital financial markets.
