Binance recovers from major hack as OKX sees massive inflows
Following a significant cyberattack by TraderTraitor, Binance has begun normalizing withdrawals, reporting that it has replaced 95% of stolen assets with its own funds. At the height of the incident, outflows reached approximately 3.64 billion US dollars.
In the wake of the Binance instability, cryptocurrency exchanges have seen significant shifts in capital. OKX recorded a net inflow of 445 million dollars, the largest among major platforms, followed by Bybit with 112 million dollars and Gate with 91 million dollars. These movements suggest investors may be diversifying assets across multiple platforms to mitigate risk.
Market performance remains mixed. While Bitcoin and Monero have shown gains, Ethereum has faced pressure due to massive outflows from US-based spot ETFs, totaling 1.61 billion dollars in October. Meanwhile, the XRP Ledger experienced a surge in activity, recording 7,934 new funded wallets on November 1, its sixth-highest daily total for 2026, despite stagnant price action.
