Ripple expands partnership with Brevan Howard for prime brokerage services

Ripple has expanded its partnership with Brevan Howard, a global alternative investment manager overseeing approximately $35 billion in assets. Under the new agreement, Ripple Prime will provide Brevan Howard's funds with multi-asset prime brokerage, clearing, and financing services across both traditional and digital asset markets.

This collaboration builds on an existing strategic relationship established in 2025, when Brevan Howard-affiliated funds participated in a $500 million investment round that valued Ripple at $40 billion. The deal highlights Ripple's growing role in institutional market infrastructure, moving beyond blockchain payments into traditional finance (TradFi) sectors.

Ripple Prime, which was formed following Ripple's $1.25 billion acquisition of the prime broker Hidden Road in 2025, has also become a significant provider of swap financing for leveraged exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the United States. This expansion positions Ripple as a competitor to traditional banks and securities firms in the lucrative ETF financing market.
