Ripple invests in ZILO and Licuido to expand tokenized finance on XRP Ledger
Ripple announced strategic investments in two UK‑based firms, ZILO and Licuido, to broaden tokenized‑asset infrastructure on its XRP Ledger (XRPL). The deals are intended to add regulated transfer‑agency services, token issuance and collateral‑mobility tools for institutional investors. ZILO provides a global transfer‑agency platform that integrates digital‑asset technology for wealth managers, while Licuido offers FCA‑regulated tokenisation and collateral‑trading solutions. Financial terms of the investments were not disclosed. The moves follow Aviva Investors’ recent launch of a tokenised US‑Dollar Liquidity Fund share class on the XRPL after approval from the Central Bank of Ireland. Ripple’s broader push includes the Ripple Mint platform for issuing and managing its RLUSD stablecoin. The XRPL now ranks as the 11th‑largest blockchain by tokenised real‑world asset value, with about $368 million in such assets, 1.57 million holders and a 1.5 % increase in total tokenised‑asset value over the past month.
