Ripple mints 811,026 RLUSD, making it the largest stablecoin on XRP Ledger

On August 6, Ripple issued 811,026 RLUSD, a US‑dollar‑pegged stablecoin, on the XRP Ledger. The transaction was recorded under ledger 106,109,031 at 07:37 IST and required a three‑signer multisignature, costing 0.000405 XRP.

The new issuance raised RLUSD’s circulating supply, pushing it past the 50 % share of total stablecoin supply on the XRP Ledger and establishing it as the network’s largest stablecoin by volume. Since its launch, RLUSD has generated over $2.5 billion in trading volume.

Ripple, a US‑based blockchain company, has not disclosed the specific purpose of the mint, but such actions typically aim to meet liquidity demand, support treasury operations, or satisfy user issuance requests.
