Ripple pushes AI-powered payments with XRPL AI Starter Kit and highlights XRP use cases
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse told Fox Business that the company has launched the XRPL AI Starter Kit, a set of tools for developers to create agent‑powered payment applications on the XRP Ledger. He said the kit is meant to keep the ledger “future ready and future proof” as artificial‑intelligence technologies evolve. Garlinghouse also noted Ripple’s participation in a Mastercard‑led industry group working on frameworks for emerging payment technologies, and called for faster regulatory guidance on AI and digital assets. He projected a billion‑dollar annual revenue run rate for Ripple, driven largely by growth outside the United States.
Ahead of Ripple’s Swell 2026 conference in New York City, CTO emeritus David Schwartz emphasized XRP’s expanding role across payments, tokenization, decentralized finance, interoperability and artificial intelligence. He described the upcoming event as the company’s largest, expecting more than 1,500 attendees, 75 speakers and over 50 sessions focused on real‑world adoption and community‑driven development of the XRP ecosystem.
