Ripple’s RLUSD Stablecoin Launches on South Korea’s Four Largest Exchanges

Ripple has expanded its RLUSD stablecoin to South Korea’s four biggest cryptocurrency exchanges—Coinone, Korbit, Upbit and Bithumb—enabling direct Korean‑won (KRW) trading pairs. The rollout was confirmed by Ripple senior vice president of stablecoins Jack McDonald, who announced on X that the listings give both retail and institutional users regulated access to RLUSD across the country’s most active digital‑asset platforms.

The listings are part of Ripple’s broader strategy to increase RLUSD’s utility for payments, trading and institutional settlement. The stablecoin is fully backed by cash, short‑term U.S. Treasury securities, money‑market funds and other cash equivalents, positioning it as a fully‑reserved alternative in a competitive stablecoin market.

The expansion will be watched for its effect on liquidity in South Korea’s crypto market, one of the world’s most active arenas for digital‑asset trading.
