Ripple reaches $50B valuation amid stablecoin growth and XRP market shifts

Ripple is experiencing significant shifts in its corporate and ecosystem structure. A $750 million share buyback has valued the private company at approximately $50 billion, though this transaction benefits employees and early investors rather than XRP holders, who maintain no ownership stake in the company.

In the stablecoin sector, Ripple’s RLUSD has reached a circulating supply of approximately 2.49 billion tokens, with a market value near $2.5 billion. On the XRP Ledger, stablecoin value has risen roughly 6% in a week, with RLUSD accounting for over 92% of the tracked supply. Meanwhile, Stellar has overtaken Aptos in stablecoin market capitalization, holding approximately $961 million.

XRP faces upcoming market volatility as up to one billion tokens may be released from escrow on October 1. This potential supply increase coincides with sustained demand from US spot ETFs and large wallet accumulations. Analysts are monitoring key resistance levels between $1.50 and $1.60, with some predicting potential targets near $2.00 if breakouts occur.

On the Ethereum network, USD-pegged stablecoin supply has reached $146.49 billion, even as decentralized exchange (DEX) trading volume has declined by over 51% in the last 30 days, suggesting a period of dormant liquidity despite rising DeFi total value locked.
