XRP price stalls below $1.08 as US Senate delays CLARITY Act and technical resistance persists

The XRP token is trading in a narrow band around $1.07‑$1.09, below the $1.08 psychological support level. All major exponential moving averages (20‑day, 50‑day, 100‑day and 200‑day) sit above the current price, and the 20‑day EMA near $1.10 acts as dynamic resistance. A decisive breakout above the 100‑day EMA around $1.22 is required for a medium‑term trend reversal.

In the United States, the Senate has postponed the CLARITY Act, a bill that would permanently classify XRP as a commodity. The delay removes a regulatory catalyst that many institutional investors have been awaiting.

Ripple launched the Ripple Mint platform on 23 July, introducing the RLUSD stablecoin. Institutional activity includes Aviva Investors’ tokenized fund on the XRP Ledger and Hong Kong’s first licensed retail XRP trading venue. Upbit in South Korea has also integrated RLUSD for deposits and withdrawals.

Derivatives data show mixed sentiment: funding rates for XRP futures turned positive at roughly 0.009 %, indicating long positions are paying fees, while open interest fell to about $369.6 million, the lowest level since 2024. Whale buying has helped hold the price near $1.08, but the market remains fragile pending regulatory clarity and a break of key resistance zones.
