XRP faces regulatory and ETF headwinds amid price volatility

XRP is facing significant market pressure due to a combination of regulatory delays, declining institutional demand, and technical vulnerabilities. The U.S. Senate has postponed the vote on the CLARITY Act until September, removing a key catalyst for regulatory certainty. This delay has coincided with a sharp decline in institutional interest, as weekly inflows into U.S. XRP ETFs fell by approximately 93%, dropping from $14.86 million to $1.01 million.

Technically, XRP is struggling to maintain the $1.00 psychological support level. Analysts note that derivatives open interest remains high at approximately $2.36 billion, which is more than six times the 24-hour spot volume, increasing the risk of sudden liquidations. While some market participants are bearish, on-chain data shows that large XRP holders (wallets with 100 million to 1 billion tokens) have increased their total supply share to nearly 12%, suggesting they are accumulating during the price dip.

In contrast to the current volatility, Ripple is focusing on expansion in Europe. Following full MiCA authorization, the company is preparing to scale its digital asset payments, stablecoin services, and institutional infrastructure across the European Economic Area (EEA).
