Ripple's XRP tops $1.10 on EU MiCA licence and Kansas jersey sponsorship
Ripple's XRP token rose above $1.10 on 10 July 2026, two days after the company announced a historic jersey‑sponsorship deal with the University of Kansas, the first major U.S. university to partner with a cryptocurrency. The same week, Luxembourg’s financial regulator granted Ripple a full MiCA licence, allowing the firm to offer regulated crypto services across all 30 EEA countries.
The price move comes while XRP remains about 70 % below its all‑time high of $3.65 set in July 2025. Spot‑XRP ETFs have attracted roughly $1.47 billion of inflows, and Binance saw a withdrawal of about 123 million XRP, suggesting accumulation by large investors. Despite the positive catalysts, Standard Chartered cut its year‑end target for XRP from $8.00 to $2.80, reflecting uncertainty about sustained upside.
