Ripple's XRP Valuation Debate Continues

Ripple’s XRP token trades around $1.09, giving it a market value of roughly $70 billion, while daily activity on the XRP Ledger remains modest – about $2.9 million in volume and $378 in fees. The token’s price is tied to Ripple’s broader ecosystem: a $1.25 billion acquisition of Hidden Road, a $125 million SEC fine settlement, and a MiCA licence in Luxembourg that enables regulated crypto services across the European Economic Area. U.S. spot XRP ETFs have attracted over $1.5 billion in inflows, though ETF holdings do not equate to real‑world payment usage.

Analysts also circulate a speculative model that projects XRP could reach $4,813 by 2030. The Valhil Capital “virtuous cycle” model assumes 10 % of global transactions (about $700 billion daily) run on the XRP Ledger, driving a feedback loop of higher prices, increased holding, and reduced supply. The theory references Ripple’s 2019 “flywheel” concept and comments from Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson, who likened the mechanism to a Web 2.5 dynamic. These forecasts remain theoretical and are not reflected in current transaction activity.
