Risa Hontiveros rejects Quiboloy's threat of libel charges

Senator Risa Hontiveros stated she has “nothing to fear” following the announcement that Apollo Quiboloy, founder of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC), intends to file libel and cyber libel charges against her and two other lawmakers.

Hontiveros responded to the legal threat by highlighting the serious allegations facing Quiboloy. She noted that the pastor is wanted by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and faces accusations involving human trafficking, sexual abuse, and child abuse. The senator emphasized that Quiboloy should address the criminal charges against him rather than attempting to “turn the tables” on his accusers. She reiterated her commitment to protecting victims who have come forward to testify against him.
