Risaralda approves transitional justice plan for conflict victims

The Risaralda Departmental Committee has unanimously approved a Transitional Justice Plan aimed at supporting victims of armed conflict. The decision was made during a meeting led by Government Secretary Maicol Lopera, representing Governor Juan Diego Patiño Ochoa.

In addition to the justice plan, officials reviewed mechanisms for preventing human rights violations and established protocols for responding to territorial risks. The meeting focused on monitoring the Territorial Action Plan (PAT) to organize measures for populations affected by violence. The Secretary of Government also presented updates regarding contingency and protection plans to coordinate institutional responses to emergencies and identify potential risks.

Victim representatives participated in the session, highlighting the importance of their lived experiences in identifying administrative obstacles, such as difficulties in accessing services and the need for more timely institutional responses.
