Risaralda distributes economic aid to earthquake-affected families

The Risaralda Governor's Office has reported that 9,975 economic aid transfers, totaling 10,120 million pesos, have been delivered to families affected by an earthquake. This represents a 74% effectiveness rate in the distribution process facilitated by the National Unit for Disaster Risk Management (UNGRD) and the payment operator SuperGIROS.

Approximately 3,423 transfers, amounting to roughly 3,474 million pesos, remain unclaimed. Diana Carolina Ramírez Laverde, the departmental coordinator for Disaster Risk Management, assured beneficiaries that those who did not collect their funds within the established period will not lose them. Instead, they will be rescheduled to receive their assigned resources.

Authorities have urged the community to monitor official channels for information regarding new payment dates and procedures, while warning citizens to avoid sharing personal information with third parties.
