Rise Against and Alkaline Trio release split single

Punk rock bands Rise Against and Alkaline Trio have released a split single featuring cover versions of each other's songs. The release includes Alkaline Trio's rendition of Rise Against's ‘Re-Education (Through Labor)’ and Rise Against's cover of Alkaline Trio's ‘Private Eye’.

The collaboration precedes a co-headlining United States tour that is set to begin in Dallas, Texas, on September 22nd. The tour will visit several major cities, including New York City, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Las Vegas.

Members of both bands, including Matt Skiba and Tim McIlrath, noted the long-standing personal connection between the groups, which dates back to their early years performing in Chicago. The single is available digitally, with a limited edition 7-inch vinyl release scheduled for pre-order.
