Marechal Cândido Rondon sees surge in domestic violence arrests

The 2nd Company of the Military Police recorded two serious domestic‑violence incidents on Saturday, 18 July 2026, in the municipality of Marechal Cândido Rondon, Brazil. In the early‑morning case, a woman reported being punched in the face by her partner, sustaining visible swelling around her left eye before the assailant fled. She escaped to her sister’s house and called emergency services, after which police documented her injuries and advised her on protective measures.

A second incident later that evening involved a woman assaulted by her husband at her mother‑in‑law’s home in the neighboring town of Pato Bragado.
