Rishikesh Mahadev Temple highlighted by CM Dhami

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami recently shared a video highlighting the Rishikesh Mahadev Temple, located on the banks of the Lohawati River in the Champawat district. The temple is a significant center of faith and is considered a vital part of the region's cultural heritage.

According to local traditions, the temple served as an important stop on the ancient Kailash Mansarovar Yatra route. The site is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is believed to be a place where the deity appeared in the guise of a Brahmin. The temple complex also houses shrines for Mata Kalika, Durga, and Radha-Krishna, and offers facilities such as a guest house and a park.

Local devotees hold deep spiritual beliefs regarding the temple, noting that it is a place where many seek blessings for various wishes. The temple remains an active site for religious rituals, including Shiva Puja and various Vedic ceremonies, throughout the year.
