Risk management initiatives implemented in Peruvian mining and Colombian municipal associations

Research conducted at Compañía Minera Bateas SAC in Arequipa, Peru, focuses on implementing risk management schemes to improve safety in mining operations. The study addresses the gap between existing protocols and daily operational routines, proposing practical, adapted risk management tools to reduce hazards and strengthen a preventive safety culture among workers.

In Colombia, legal support has been provided to the Association of Municipalities of the Eastern Foothills (ASMUPO) regarding the hiring of professional service providers. This support, conducted under a cooperation agreement with INNPULSA Colombia, involved reviewing documentation, structuring contracts, and designing supervision formats. The initiative resulted in a legal risk matrix designed to mitigate contingencies during the planning, execution, and liquidation of contracts.
