Rita Ora to miss Akordet e Kosovës festival due to budget constraints

Negotiations to bring singer Rita Ora to the “Akordet e Kosovës” music festival in Prishtina have failed due to financial constraints. Organizers had planned for the singer to be a special guest during the October edition of the event, but the high costs requested by her management proved to be beyond the festival's budget.

Festival director Arta Avdiu reported to the RTK Board that attempts were made to find more economical solutions, such as requesting that the singer travel with a smaller accompanying staff, but these options were also unfeasible. Avdiu noted that even discussions involving the singer's family could not resolve the gap between the requested fees and the available funds.

Despite these challenges, the festival has secured state support through a memorandum of understanding between RTK and the Ministry of Culture. This agreement provides 1.2 million euros over three years, allocating 400,000 euros annually to the event.
