Rita Pavone releases new single ‘La notte è piccola’

Rita Pavone has released a new single, a reinterpretation of the classic song ‘La notte è piccola’. The track is part of a project by The Italian Society, an ensemble produced by Diego Buongiorno.

The project aims to modernize significant pages of Italian music using a contemporary language. Pavone, who originally found success with the song in 1965 on the television program ‘Studio Uno’, is joined by the vocal core of The Italian Society—Coky Ricciolino, Frankie Micheli, and Gabrio Gentilini—along with electric bass from Saturnino.

The single is part of an episodic narrative that will culminate in a full album scheduled for release this autumn. The arrangements are designed to respect the elegance of the original songwriting while incorporating a cinematic atmosphere.
