Rita Wilson teases return for Lena Dunham’s ‘Girls’ revival

Actress Rita Wilson has teased her potential return to the HBO series ‘Girls’ for a planned revival. Wilson, who played Evie Michaels, expressed strong support for creator Lena Dunham, stating, ‘I would do anything for her.’

HBO recently announced a limited five-episode revival of the comedy series, which originally aired from 2012 to 2017. The new production is scheduled to begin filming in summer 2027. The revival will feature the return of the four original lead actresses: Lena Dunham, Allison Williams, Jemima Kirke, and Zosia Mamet, along with Andrew Rannells.

Judd Apatow is set to return as an executive producer. While the core cast is confirmed, it remains unannounced whether other former cast members, such as Adam Driver, will appear in the new run.
