Ritchie Bros. achieves record €20 million auction in Italy

Ritchie Bros. reported a record-breaking October auction in Caorso, Italy, with total sales exceeding €20 million. The event saw 3,652 lots sold, marking the highest total achieved by the company in the country.

Participation increased significantly, with over 5,400 registered bidders from 67 countries, representing a 30% rise in registrations compared to the previous year. The number of successful buyers grew by 11.8% year-on-year. While Italy remained the primary market, significant demand originated from Poland, Romania, Greece, the Netherlands, North America, India, the United Arab Emirates, and North Africa.

High-demand categories included telehandlers, mini excavators, farm tractors, aerial work platforms, and vans. The auction demonstrated a bidirectional trade flow, with Italy attracting international machinery while foreign buyers utilized the Caorso site to acquire equipment consigned by Italian companies.
