Ritsona: Masked gunmen rob business and hold employee at gunpoint

Masked perpetrators carried out a methodical armed robbery at a business in Ritsona, Euboea. The incident occurred around 02:40 when the group entered the building by removing a protective window grate on the western side.

During the robbery, the assailants located a foreign employee sleeping on the premises. They violently woke him, inflicted minor facial injuries, and held a pistol to his temple to immobilize him. The perpetrators, wearing dark clothing, gloves, and hoods, reportedly spoke to the victim in Greek.

The robbery lasted approximately ten minutes. The group emptied an unsealed safe, stole small valuables, and took 500 euros in cash from a metal container. They also seized the employee's mobile phone and dismantled the security system's recording device.

To evade detection, the suspects sprayed surfaces with fire extinguisher powder to destroy forensic evidence. Forensic services have since inspected the scene, collecting items such as a screwdriver and black adhesive tape. The employee is reported to be in good health and declined a forensic medical examination. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation to locate the criminal group.
