RIU Hotels & Resorts increases social investment to 5.13 million euros
RIU Hotels & Resorts has reported a 62% increase in social investments for the 2025 fiscal year, reaching a total of 5.13 million euros. As part of its ‘Proudly Committed’ sustainability strategy, the hotel chain implemented 119 strategic measures in collaboration with 101 local and international partners.
More than half of these investments focused on health, education, and child protection, directly benefiting 69,244 children and adolescents. The initiatives follow the ‘RIU Method,’ a model developed in partnership with ESCP Business School, which has been implemented in 78% of the company’s destinations and 70% of the countries where it operates.
In addition to social programs, the company increased its environmental initiatives by 40% compared to the previous year, with biodiversity programs accounting for 23% of its global measures in 2025.
