Riu Hotels & Resorts opens first Thai resort in Phuket

Riu Hotels & Resorts has officially entered the Thai market with the opening of the Riu Palace Phuket. Located on the northwest coast of Mai Khao near Sirinat National Park, the five-star resort marks a significant step in the chain's international expansion and its strategic focus on Asia.

The property features 504 rooms distributed across several buildings of up to four floors. A key component of the offering is the ‘Elite Club by Riu’, which includes 49 premium rooms providing exclusive services such as private check-in, dedicated restaurants, specialized pools, and the option for private terrace pools.

The resort operates on a 24-hour all-inclusive model and includes six swimming pools. Its culinary program consists of six distinct dining spaces, including the Chantra restaurant, Ruen Siam (Thai cuisine), Il Gusto (Italian), a Steakhouse, Pepe's Food grill, and a dedicated restaurant for Elite Club guests.
