Riung Gunung Villa: Historical site in Puncak linked to Soekarno

The long staircase located in the Riung Gunung area of Puncak leads to the historic Riung Gunung Villa. Built between 1955 and 1957, the villa is noted for its historical connection to Indonesia's first president, Soekarno.

Inscriptions at the site indicate the building was constructed under Soekarno's leadership, with Soedarsono serving as the architect. During the 1960s, the location operated as the Riung Gunung Coffee House under the management of Hotel Indonesia, serving as a popular rest stop for travelers on the Jakarta–Bandung route.
