Riva Acciaio renews supplementary contract for Val Camonica plants
Riva Acciaio has signed a three-year supplementary labor agreement affecting approximately 350 employees across its Malegno, Sellero, and Cerveno sites in Val Camonica. The agreement was reached following negotiations between the company and trade unions Fim CISL Brescia and Fiom CGIL Vallecamonica-Sebino, alongside respective shop stewards.
The new contract introduces several economic enhancements, including adjustments to productivity, economy, and quality indices used to determine bonuses. A new efficiency index has also been established to reward worker contributions. Additionally, the deal includes indemnities for changes in operational shifts and an increase in company contributions to the Cometa supplementary pension fund.
Beyond financial measures, the agreement addresses work organization by providing greater protections for staff moving between different plants and improving the management of work clothing and personal protective equipment. The deal also confirms the role of joint commissions to promote employee participation and professional training. This renewal coincides with planned investments to relaunch production at the Sellero plant.
