Riva del Garda students participate in mass CPR training

More than 150 fifth-grade primary school students in the Riva del Garda area participated in a collective life-saving maneuvers exercise on October 16. The event, titled ‘Kids Save Lives – Viva! Trentino 2026’, focused on mass training for cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR).

Organized by Asuit through the Trentino Emergency unit and the Department of Anesthesia and Resuscitation, the initiative was held in collaboration with the Italian Resuscitation Council and local volunteer associations. The training taught children how to recognize danger, call for emergency services, and understand the importance of timely intervention.

The exercise was part of the ‘Viva!’ awareness week for CPR, held across Italy from October 12 to 18, and coincided with World Restart a Heart Day. While CPR training is already widespread in secondary schools in Trentino, this initiative extends educational pathways to younger children to build early awareness of cardiac arrest emergencies.
