Rivadavia inaugurates Ingeniero José de la Plata Plaza
The Municipality of Rivadavia has inaugurated the Ingeniero José de la Plata Plaza in the Barrio Alto neighborhood of San Juan. The project transformed a previously vacant lot into a recreational space in just three months.
The new public area includes 850 square meters of sidewalks, a 90-square-meter football tennis court, a children's playground, a sandbox, and a health area equipped with exercise machines. The site also features a metal pergola, benches, waste bins, and new landscaping consisting of six trees and two climbing plants.
Infrastructure improvements include 890 square meters of lawn and an updated lighting system with 20 columns of 4.5 meters and one 6-meter multi-arm LED column. Mayor Sergio Miodowsky noted that the project addresses long-standing community demands and emphasized the importance of municipal tax collection to fund such public works.
